A charming and capable Cornish Coble, purchased last spring with the intention of sailing her on the River Exe, but unfortunately time has not allowed the project to be enjoyed as planned. She is now offered for sale ready for her next owner.

Cornish Cobles are traditional West Country working boats, clinker-built in timber and designed for inshore waters. With their flared bows and stable hull form, they are renowned for being safe, forgiving and practical boats, equally suited to estuary sailing, pottering, fishing or coastal use. Originally developed for Cornwall’s demanding conditions, they are tough little boats with real character.

This example benefits from new sails and is supplied with an outboard engine, making her an ideal traditional boat that can be enjoyed immediately without major additional expense. She would suit someone looking for a boat for rivers, estuaries or light coastal work, or a heritage boat enthusiast wanting something straightforward and manageable.

The boat is currently out of the water in storage near Exeter, conveniently located close to the M5, making inspection and transport straightforward. She has a good trailer with winch making launching very easy for one person.
