Tamar Cornwall UK|
'Stargazy' is a 1978 Mark 1 Cornish Crabber. Over the winter of 2020/21 she was extensively restored with her deck, bulkhead and cockpit replaced with superb quality Robbins Marine Ply and West Systems Epoxy. She has had a replacement Beta 10hp engine in 2014 and a new mast in 2014. Standing and running rigging was all replaced in 2021.she is in superb condition externally with everything replaced that you would need to do on a boat of this age! She also had a new jib in 2019.
Internally she sleeps 4, has a chemical toilet under the forepeak births and a small galley- the usual layout for these early Crabbers. The inside needs a little sprucing up with some paint- I just did not get round to doing it as have been using her too much! She is immense fun to sail and we have used her extensively around Plymouth and the Tamar. Genuine reason for sale- we are going bigger! She was also the subject of the 'Old Gaffer Association' magazine for her restoration and this is all been documented in a hard back book included in the sale. There is also an extensive file of receipts.
She is currently afloat on a mooring on the Tamar. She is a lovely boat and I will be so sorry to part with her.
