This inboard powered Cornish Shrimper 19 MkII is a great example of this extremely popular class. The Shrimper's popularity is born from her high build quality, charming looks, ease of handling and the ability to explore shallow waters not accessible to fixed keel craft. The Cornish Shrimper is also very popular for racing, though Nutmeg has not been raced herself.
The MkII version of the Shrimper 19 retains the gaff-rigged character of the original design, while introducing practical refinements to rigging, systems and handling — making her easier to manage and more versatile for shorthanded cruising. The raising bowsprit is useful for the purposes of reducing your marina fees!
"Nutmeg" is fitted with tan sails, Coppercoat antifouling (2024), Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine, Raymarine depth finder, Icom DSC VHF Radio, gas cooker, twin batteries, solar panel, cockpit tent and more.
For further information regarding "Nutmeg" or to arrange to see her, please contact Peter Keats by email, phone or WhatsApp.

OWNER'S COMMENTS
My wife and I have enjoyed sailing together since 1980, when we started racing a National 12. After moving to Poole in 2002, we joined the Flying Fifteen fleet at Parkstone Yacht Club — wonderful boats and a fantastic class to be involved with. About seven years later, with family commitments increasing, we decided that a MkII Cornish Shrimper would suit our sailing perfectly.
We bought our first Shrimper and raced her regularly, before I eventually replaced her with a new boat, Nutmeg, with a view to doing more cruising as my racing days drew to a close.
The MkII Shrimper is a wonderfully versatile little boat. The additional four inches of headroom in the cabin compared with the MkI is very welcome, and I have enjoyed exploring some delightful places in Nutmeg, from Arne and Wareham, up the River Frome, to trips around the coast to Swanage.
I have now reached the end of my sailing career, but Nutmeg is ready to give her next owners plenty more years of enjoyment.
