SENSIBLE OFFERS INVITED.
Tulipe is available with the option to take over her rarely available, fully transferable, residential mooring at Aquavista's award winning Poplar Marina, next to Canary Wharf.
Available immediately, this smart Dutch barge was built in c.1920 and successfully surveyed in September 2021 (report available for inspection by interested parties). Her then owner, and her current owner, have since commissioned a full refit and she offers surprisingly spacious accommodation with her interior updated to a contemporary standard whilst retaining her period charm.
Her open air rear deck offers ample space for chairs and a table whilst her wheel house is easily able to accommodate a desk for those working from home. Steps lead below into the fully equipped galley/kitchen which provides ample storage and worktop space. The saloon/lounge is sufficiently large for her new owner to instal a double sofa bed for guests and, thanks to her large windows, this whole area is a light, welcoming and flexible space.
Moving forward along the port side corridor, she benefits from a very attractive and well fitted bathroom with full height walk in shower, basin and cassette toilet. In the bow is the bedroom, again with great storage space and wonderful marina views. A bonus is that additional storage space extends right under the bow deck.
Heating is provided by electric radiators throughout and also a diesel fuelled central heating system (see below).
Her current owner has thoroughly enjoyed living, full time, onboard Tulipe and has particularly enjoyed becoming part of the wonderful, welcoming community of boat owners at Poplar marina. He would very much prefer to remain living full time onboard but a health issue means he is reluctantly obliged to sell her. He has also been very honest and transparent regarding two known issues which he has yet to resolve: Tulipe currently, therefore, requires a new control unit for the diesel fuelled central heating system (the alternate, electric, heating system operates as it should) and the engine' drive shaft requires repair or replacement.
Tulipe is now looking forward to meeting her next custodian and to welcoming her new owner(s) onboard.
