Burnham-on-Crouch Essex UK
The Nimbus 280 Coupe has elegant lines and a comfortable cruising interior ideal for couples to cruise on with their separate double berth sleeping cabin, light and practical wheelhouse saloon and comfortable cockpit. Their clever hull design offers economic cruising across a variety of speeds making them well suited to both coastal cruising and exploring rivers. 'Brite Spark' is a desirable all-white example and has an excellent inventory including bow thruster, trim tabs, electric windlass, diesel heating, full cockpit enclosure, chart plotter, autopilot and solar power system (ideal if to be kept on a mooring away from shorepower). She appears to have been lightly used and is presented in very good condition, early viewing is highly recommended!

Located in a soundproofed compartment under the saloon sole, Volvo Penta TAMD31P-A 150hp turbocharged and aftercooled four cylinder diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever engine controls with electric start and bow thruster controls. Seastar hydraulic wheel steering. Shaft drive via Volvo Penta HS1A gearbox to bronze propeller with protective skeg. 200L Fuel capacity with additional stainless steel 100 micron fuel filter and water separator. Volvo Penta QL trim tabs with controls at helm. Sleipner Sidepower 4hp bowthruster. Full engine instrumentation. Speedseal raw water pump impeller plate conversion for easy access.
The engine is in excellent cosmetic condition and allows for economic cruising, consuming approximately 4 litres per hour at a 6kt displacement speed, rising to around 20 litres per hour at fast cruising speeds. Current engine hours are believed to be around 1000hrs since new, as is very common with Volvo Penta engines, the hour meter has failed however the previous owner believed this to be an accurate maximum run time. This indicates she has benefitted from an optimal usage of 45-50hrs per season, an oil analysis report from August 2018 also indicated that the engine is also in very good internal condition (available on request).
Nimbus 280 Coupe built in 1997 by Nimbus Yachts to a design by Rolf Elliasson. White GRP hull, superstructure and deck with moulded non-slip surfaces. Hydraulic wheel steering to protected rudder. Enclosed wheelhouse with sliding door to aft cockpit. Walk-through to integrated GRP bathing platform.
Brite Spark appears to be in unusually good condition for her age and a recent survey (August 2018) confirmed this, with only minor recommendations which have been attended to where deemed necessary by her current knowledgeable and experienced owner.
